Known from playing Ken Barlow in the ITV soap, 92-year-old Roache stopped for a picture (above) at the Great Orme.

Great Orme Cottage is a holiday home based on Cromlech Road in Llandudno.
Roache is the longest-serving cast member in Coronation Street, having appeared in the show continuously since it was first broadcast on December 9, 1960.
He is listed in the Guinness World Records as the longest-serving TV actor in a continuous role.
At the age of seven, Roache began attending Rydal boarding school in Colwyn Bay (now Rydal Penrhos School).
Roache was commissioned into the Royal Welch Fusiliers in 1953, and a year later, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant.
He left in 1956, by which time he held the rank of captain.
