Getting back to the "Alice" business recently discussed.

I've had TWO invitations from two different sources to attend  function at the St Georges Hotel. A.L.I.C.E. Ltd presentations.

   Digital e-tour and town trail.

  Video promotion.

 Challenges

 App ideas

  etc etc etc.

   Plus ---- REFRESHMENTS
    I've been asked by barry@badgersgroup.c.uk.

Remind me not to have too much lunch on a certain date next week.    Mike

Thought I might uplift all you TTF people from you trouser press obsession.

With a bit of serious writing.

How about this then.  A very, very local housing association is doing its bit in upgrading its properties.

So, its contracted a local firm  (i.e. with offices in the Conwy area) to do a bit of roof renovation, amongst many other things.

So workers start. All wearing high vis coats with the name of this firm on their backs.

But, so I am told by some of them. They don't work for this firm. They just do the job --- and wear the coat.

Who or where are they from?   The Black Country.    How do they travel?   They don't.

They stay in a certain camp in Kinmel Bay. I know the name, but don't fancy disclosing it.

Any more relevations and I might find myself in a bit of trouble.      Mike

Not wanting to disclose anything either but my sister who lives in a housing association house that has recently been renovated did happen to mention the folk working on hers had problems with the english and welsh language ,thus not understanding her when she asked them  to look after her garden and pots etc. Instead they trampled and left all their mess everywhere.Taken her all summer to clear it. She told me there wasnt a local lad among them sadly. We do have so many locals looking for work thats doesnt seem right if the labour is being brought in.

There was speculation on the Forum recently that it was the Alexandra.

Confirmed as the Alexandra by the Daily Post.  Looking forward to seeing Basil Fawlty on the tele next year  :D.

I have to admit that i never did go down the Alice museum,Ian Turner put up an interview with Muriel and showed us around, now as we know Barry Mortlock has aquired all the collection but at the moment has no plans to open anywhere, what a shame there is no investment in his project.

I walked up Bodhyfred rd this morning obviously having a nose at the back of the Clarence and i could not believe the state of the flats along there ,they looked like slums, can CCBC not force landlords to maintain properties, such a shame for the decent people who live on the road.

The Rhos on Sea Cycling Club had their AGM on the 7th Oct 2013 at the Rhos on Sea Golf Club.  I haven't seen the minutes of that meeting so it might have come up under matters arising or apologies even!
If he said that he'll clean it up then I'm sure that he will.  Only time will tell if he is as good as his word.

What about what has been 'invested' so far ?
