I've just seen the prices!  :o  :o a stunning place though and I've always been amazed by it when driving past.

Well, Hollins, that looks fantastic but personally I'm not very keen on "a bath with a view".

When away with work, there are times when we stay in private houses in the country and a surprising number of these seem to have guest bathrooms with views - views through huge, clear glass windows with no curtains, just next to the bath / shower / toilet!  :o  In these situations I carefully scan the view of the garden for signs of our host and family, the gardener, the odd jobs man, postman, etc before using the facility (and at night I blunder around inthe dark to maintain privacy)!

You're right Blodyn! It was totally impractical really especially as there was a film crew in the garden making a film for the website. I hope I don't appear on it!
Would have been much more use with a table and two chairs there but I suppose it is good novelty value and makes stylish photos for the brochure.

You made me smile there Blodyn, I feel just the same and the idea of a bath in a window certainly doesn't appeal to me-- I would prefer a nice armchair and a table containing books pertaining to the area which I could see from it.
The French often had very public facilities in the rooms-- I remember a toilet in Brittany which had a curtain in front of it which rested on the occupier's knees. Also a bidet in the Loire valley which was on wheels-- I will leave that to your imagination. :o

I posted quite a bit on this thread last night, suffice it to say they have all vanished.

In a nutshell, I can tell you that I have booked Plas Rhianfa for New Years Eve, including the Black Tie New Year Ball....

Pricey maybe, but you can't put a price on great memories.    Sod the expense I say!

Hollins, we'll have to look out for that video on the Plas Rhianfa website!

Nemesis, your facilities in France sound "interesting".   :o

Fester, hope you and Mrs. Fester have a wonderful new year, it sounds as if it certainly should be memorable.

That looks good, Cordyline.  I particularly like the two seagulls outside looking in - you wouldn't want to open the window!  :o

They gave us some earache at breakfast

While in Llandudno we looked at this nice apartment that is for sale
Here

I liked it, very tidy; with own access door
However; Ms Cordy wants a 'place with a view'

This is my room with a view in Dubai at the moment. I am told that this boat is owned by Sheikh Mohammed's son the Crown Prince of Dubai.
