That is good news Steve and I hope that they can make a success of the place.     I used to like going there but it was just for a coffee
,    They will need to keep it competitively priced  though and free of any accommodation for asylum seekers as that would put off anyone from staying there

A HOTEL in Llandudno which is on the market for £2million is currently “under offer”, according to its listing.

The County Hotel, on the town’s Promenade, was put up for sale for £3.5million in 2023, just two years after reopening.

The hotel had initially closed in 2020, when operating company Shearings went into administration during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Under the new management of Bespoke Hotels, they reopened in 2021, returning jobs and more tourists to the resort town.....

The debts left after owners of Hilton hotel in North Wales went into administration
The company went into administration in December and the hotel was sold on in a pre-pack deal
I wonder if all those Asylum seekers left the hotel without paying their bill?

Once again I read of a private company going bust after being backed by Welsh Government funds.

The Welsh Government are owed £1.14m - with the government estimated to receive around £349,000 back as the second ranked fixed charge holder

There needs to be a different system to protect tax payers monies.

Two stories this morning............

A FORMER guest house in Llandudno which is now used as an AirBnB has been sold at auction.
Cadnant Guest House, on Lloyd Street, had been on and off the market for several years before being converted into an AirBnB property.

The property went to auction with Auction House London on February 12, and sold for a freehold price of £360,000.

A four-storey building, the AirBnB is made up of several bedrooms, a dining room, a bar area, a cinema room, a billiards room, and even has an on-site hot tub.

The seller has said the property’s income in the last tax year (a nine-month year) was approximately £69,000, currently forecast to reach £84,000 for the end of this tax year.                              ref pioneer   photo below...........

A GUEST HOUSE in Llandudno could be converted into a residential property as the business experiences a “decline in bookings and health and well-being” of its owners.

Lakelands Guest House, on Lloyd Street, has applied for a change of use, or business closure, which would allow the site to be converted into a five-bedroom house.

Owned by Gillian Evans and her husband since November 2021, the costs of running the business since then have “escalated”, a planning supporting statement said.

A GUEST house in Llandudno has gone on the market for a six-figure sum.

Del Mar Guest House, a family-owned business at Deganwy Avenue, has been put up for sale for with Fleurets Limited for £455,000.

The four-storey guest house is made up of 11 en-suite bedrooms, a two-bedroom private living accommodation and a dining room which caters for up to 26 covers.

Beachside hotel that was built for a port dream that never materialised
There are now plans to restore part of the building that is now in a poor condition
At the time there were three possible locations for the port to Ireland Porth Dinllaen,  Llandudno and Holyhead. 
Porth Dinllaen is a beautiful place to go to and the famous pub Ty Coch is right there on the beach

Bryn Derwen, at Abbey Road, has been put up for sale with estate agent Sidney Phillips for a freehold price of £799,000.

The elegant building dates back to 1878 and was built by the Grose family, set over four storeys of brick construction with cream render.

Bryn Derwen has offered holiday accommodation for more than 75 years as a boarding house, hotel and bed and breakfast, and is on a 999-year lease which commenced on the December 25, 1905.

A STUNNING mansion in Llandudno Junction with planning permission to be converted into a wedding venue and hotel has failed to sell at auction.

The Grade II listed Marle Hall was set a guide price of £650,000, but went unsold at online auction with Savills on February 26.

However, the mansion has since had its price boosted to £700,000, and remains listed with the agent.

Marle Hall dates back more than a century, with part of the building traced back to 1661.

Used as a convalescent and nursing home in the past, the site was bought by Warwickshire council in 1971 and used as an learning centre, providing residential trips and courses for schoolchildren until it closed in October 2021.

A COMBINATION of clever tech and common sense will enable an eco-friendly hotel in Llandudno to be “close to off-grid” during the summer months.

As well as achieving a massive reduction in carbon emissions, the energy bills at the seafront Llandudno Bay Hotel have been slashed by £90,000 per year.

The news was revealed when the second phase of the green revolution at the award-winning hotel – part of the Everbright Group – was unveiled.

As well as saving money, the measures will cut the hotel’s CO2 emissions by 85 per cent leading to an annual reduction of 95 tonnes, when the full system is installed.................

A LUXURY hotel in Llandudno which only re-opened last year has seen its price reduced in a bid to sell the property.

Roomours Hotel, at Church Walks, was reopened by Amanda and Mark Richards in April 2024, following a two-month, “high quality” renovation.

The couple, who run Statement Home & Gifts furniture store on Mostyn Street, put the hotel on the market shortly after it continued trading.

Set an initial price of £895,000, the property’s price has been brought down to £795,000.

Surf lagoon site in North Wales 'sold' to hotel group
A deal has reportedly been completed on Adventure Parc Snowdonia

Two sources say that the same company has now taken on the rest of the Dolgarrog site - including the massive lagoon. Millions of pounds of Welsh Government funding was secured for the original development. Companies House files for Adventure Parc Snowdonia Ltd show that three fixed charges from Welsh Ministers had been satisfied on March 7 this year.

Bryn Derwen, in Llanrwst, has been put up for sale with Christie & Co.

A 19th century country house set in 14 acres, some of which is made up of woodland and a walled garden, the hotel has scope for "major re-development".

The hotel comprises a reception hall, drawing room, dining conservatory, and three further versatile function rooms.
