SteveH
« on: June 15, 2025, 05:12:49 pm »
It is with great sadness that I have to announce the death of a popular and prominent forum member.     SteveH died in the early hours of Monday the 2nd of June 2025 following years of illness bravely borne
I never had the privilage of meeting Steve but felt that we had a lot in common, we exchan ged PM's and banter on the forum and I  feel like I've lost a good friend
He contributed so much time and energy to the forum and his presence will be greatly missed by everyone
My thoughts and prayers are with his wife Lynne and family at this very sad time.    Lynne advised me of Steve's passing in a PM that I had sent to him recently

That is extremely saddening. Steve was an outstanding News editor. I'm sure that all those who read his excellent contributions will miss him. Very, very sad.

So sad to hear this news. I was wondering why he hadn't posted recently.
I haven't been able to read the forum properly because of this advert pop up.
Can anything be done about that?
I think others have mentioned the problem.

Those who contribute to the forum costs ought not to see the ads at all. I'll check your rating, Hollins. Apologies.

I had an e-mail today from Steve's wife Lynne and she informed me that Steve's funeral was today  at 2.00 pm at Mochdre Crematorium.  He died peacefully in his sleep after a short battle with Cancer
Steve was a prolific contributor to the forum and quizes on it so I'm sure that many forum members would have been wondering what had happened to him
At least he is in peace now and not suffering and that must be of some comfort to Lynne.      RIP  SteveH
