There were reports of walkers having to ask to be rescued from severe winter conditions on Moel Fammau last Sunday. They were stuck in poor weather and rangers brought them to safety.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-64929358I remember driving to Moel Fammau on a very wintry day with plenty of snow on the ground with a view to having a walk in the snow and seeing the views. When we arrived we couldn't move for cars which were parked all along the narrow lane. It transpired that large number of people had travelled there to go tobogganing. We were stuck for some time and a ranger came to escort us down using another route along a lane which would barely take one car it was so narrow. There was a convoy of cars all going along with the ranger and we were able to reach the road that leads up to Moel Fammau. After that I decided never to venture up there if it was snowy.
