I had a Google but nothing really came up for Atkinsons Law in the 1800s.

I think that you will find that it had to do with Contract Law especially with regard to construction.  It could therefore have been to do with either conventional construction or possibly his ship building enterprise.  If you really want Chapter and Verse, the library may be able to help.

Thomas Roberts is included in the 1844 Aberconwy directory as the Postmaster at the Post Office, High Street.

Thomas A Roberts ( dob 1825) is listed as the Postmaster in the 1859 Slaters Directory at the Post Office,Castle Street. ( this is 22 later 26 Castle St,the Conway Municipal Offices -see 1885 Postal Directory)
Thomas A Roberts was still Postmaster in the 1889/90 Suttons Directory

Question-does anyone know where the High Street Post Office was located ?

I've done an amended list of the Chronicles Rob Pritchard gave me and added various bits and pieces.  I've also taken photos of all remaining pubs in Conwy which I will post on here after the weekend.  Took ages to go and route them all out.  Item 10 is Dwygyfylchi Suepp. Points 223, 225 and 226 are interesting. Seems the Son died then the Father 9 months later followed by the naughty boy child 2 days after that?

Can you please ask Rob Pritchard if he has anything on Griffith Owen the mariner who lived somewhere in Chapel Street or Owen Owen shoe maker who lived at Railway Crossing Cottage?  Thanks.

Owen Owen born c.1818, lived at Waen, died at the end of the 1800's.  Lived at Railway Crossing cottages having been married twice.  Was the shoemaker.
Griffith Owen is the mariner buried by the door of St Mary's church having fought at the battle of Trafalgar.  His dates are 1785 ish to 1863.

Re Post 175

I believe this post of John Evans could be my great grandfather x 3. He is buried in St Marys graveyard in Conwy. Do you think Mr Pritchard would have any further information regarding the Evans Family? John's son was Evan Evans, Harbour Master. Many thanks.

Thanks for the post. Yes you are right, Evan Evans and his family are buried at St Agnes Cemetery but as it is in the old part I have never managed to see it - brambles up to chest height last time I tried. Evan's son William & Williams' daughter Jane (married name Cox) are all buried in varies graves at St Agnes. Thanks again  $thanx$
