My appointment on Wednesday was also 6.45 and I was number 993, so they're doing a steady rate.

They must have taken it away by the time I arrived.

I am so pleased I went last night at 6.45pm to Venue Cymru and not to our surgery for 9am this morning.

There is a massive queue spilling out onto Clarence Road.

No such thing happening at Venue Cymru, extremely well organised and social distances at all times.   There were circular markers on the floor at two metre intervals but for some inexplicable reason the guy in front of me always stopped half way between the markers so consequently I was always three metres behind him.       $good$

It is clear now, Hugo, but I am surprised to notice the Venue Cymru Vaccination Centre is shut today (Saturday) when I passed earlier.

Was that queue the first time that the surgery did the vaccinations Bri?          I know that the Venue Cymru had a problem on its first day but that was because people were arriving too early.

That first incident at Venue Cymru reminded me of the times when I used to go to work early on Monday mornings.    The OAP'S used to be queuing up outside the Post Offices at about 8,30 am, yet the Post Offices didn't open until 9.00 am and I often wondered why they behaved like that.     Perhaps they wanted the money early in the day in case they met their maker in the afternoon?

Not according to their Facebook page, Hugo.

I understand it was adults arriving too early again that contributed to the crowds this morning.

It's strange then Bri because everyone by now should know not to arrive too early for their vaccination.    As for Venue Cymru being closed today I can't think of a reason for it unless it was down to the supply issue.

My time for Venue Cymru last Wednesday was 6.45 with instruction to report no earlier than 6.40 ... I joined short queue at 6.40 but listening to times given by others on the queue there were some with 6.50 and one with 7.00 so were there too early but not told to hang back.  Didn't bother me but you can how the queues form when the admin is spot on.

Yes, I agree, Hugo, it was strange Venue Cymru being closed yesterday (Saturday) especially as it is open again today.

10 years in prison and huge fines for breaking new travel rules
Matt Hancock said the UK must “strengthen our defences yet further”.

It's a shame that this wasn't done earlier when Stanley Johnson and his ilk were travelling abroad
