I do hope this is allowed soon.

I have a big birthday in a couple of weeks time and our first grandchild was born a couple of months ago.

For the past five weeks, we have had to make do with daily photos and videos being sent to us and they only live in Jubilee Street.

Fingers crossed.

Umm ... our daughter had a baby two weeks ago, little brother for our other grandson.  So, by that ease of restrictions perhaps my wife and I could visit daughter, son-in-law and now two grandsons.

Somehow I don't think we'd be allowed - as they live in Liverpool, plus I am over 70 !!  My car has a full tank of fuel so I won't come into contact with anyone to get there and back, although my car does stand out a bit so would likely attract police presence!

What is annoying is that my daughter's neighbour also had a baby a few weeks ago, and family members who live local are always dropping in.

I have always been critical about social media but it has proved good this last few weeks, with Facetime and Zoom.

The only way we can be clear is for everyone to get tested, and everyone negative - but that just won't happen.

I know two families that see their relatives but one is responsible in that they insist that the visiting relative(s)  sit in the garden and are over two metres apart from them.  Also they insist on staggering the meetings with other family members.
Another family is not quite so responsible and flout the regulations bringing in relatives from Bradford or where ever to come and stay with them for the duration of the lockdown.
How many of them live under the one roof no one knows but there are a lot and even have a bed in the hallway

I just trust that the Police have checked the cars and the drivers out before sending them home.       A similar bunch of idiots were stopped in Mid Wales and sent packing only for the Police to find them half an hour later after they had doubled back and gone to another location there
I hope that these London idiots don't try the same trick

Birthday treat for Arthur
Friday 24 Apr 2020

Officers from West Conwy made an old man very happy when they arranged for him to walk along the beach in Conwy on his birthday.

Arthur Hughes has walked the same route daily with his dog Cassie for the past five years, but when the lockdown was implemented five weeks ago everything had to change for everyone.

In a bid to make her father’s 78th birthday a little special Michelle Stockham contacted the West Conwy team and asked if they could arrange for the barrier on the beach car park to be lifted for a short time.

“Dad is not in the best of health and hasn’t been his usual cheery self since not being able to get out, so when the officers arranged to meet us at the car park it made his day very special.”

“He had a lovely time. He just sat on the bench in his favourite place overlooking Deganwy with Cassie and reflected on things. He absolutely loved it and I can’t thank the officers enough for their kindness.”

“They have gone above and beyond to make one man and his dog very happy. What they have done means so much,” said Michelle.

The team in Conwy responded:  “It was a lovely request and we loved the opportunity to help the family make Arthur’s day special.”

Most enjoyable day in the garden............ now guess why I am now inside on the computer, with the house shut up tight, all day long there has been the odd whiff, this one wins the "Smoker" of the week.      $angry$

Residents with breathing problems becoming 'prisoners in their own homes' as neighbours burn rubbish

Concerns have been raised that homeowners, are having clear-outs while on lockdown and setting small fires to get rid of waste.

But for some, it means they can't enjoy their own gardens or homes, because they suffer with issues such as asthma and emphysema and can't tolerate the smoke, please consider your neighbours and don’t have any fires.                              refDP

Two men caught fishing during lockdown sparked an emergency response.

The Llandudno Coastguard and Conwy Lifeboat team were called shortly after 12pm yesterday (Sunday) to a report a boat was potentially adrift in the Conwy Bay area.

But when the vessel was located by the lifeboat crew off Penmaenmawr, members discovered it was two people on a Sunday fishing trip - despite the coronavirus lockdown regulations.

"The incident was then passed onto North Wales Police.                   ref DP

Let's hope that the Police caught up with those thoughtless people and dealt out a fine as well as a stiff warning.

I think they let them off the hook.

Perhaps the Police should pay a visit to Greenacres by Black Rock Sands as the message about Coronavirus hasn't sunk in there anyway
