It was in excellent, solid condition even then.. just lookat the roof! I used to walk by an check on the Pen Morfa regularly.
It sticks in my mind as a reminder of how you really cannot trust the Council or Developers.
A travesty and a tragedy.

I think this photo (taken in July 2008) illustrates quite well how claims that Penmorfa could not be run profitably as a hotel were ludicrous. If you couldn't make money with a hotel in a setting like that, then you had to be doing something wrong.
