A CRASH on the A55 killed a man, and left three others seriously injured – closing the westbound lanes for nine hours.
The smash between a Mitsubishi Shogun and a white Renault Master van happened at 4am yesterday morning on an un-lit stretch between the junctions for Abergwyngregyn and Tal-y-bont, near Bangor.

David Doherty, 27, of Queensferry, Flintshire, was charged after the death of James Loveridge in a crash on the A55 near Bangor, Gwynedd.
He is also accused of failing to stop, report the crash, being uninsured and taking a Land Rover without consent.
He was remanded in custody at Caernarfon magistrates' court.
The court was told the incident happened on Sunday between 03:30 and 04:00 GMT.
David Doherty is accused of crashing a Mitsubishi Shogun into a Renault van parked in a lay-by at Talybont.
Mr Loveridge, 38, died at the scene and the van driver was left in a critical condition.
Three other people travelling in the Shogun were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
David Doherty's solicitor applied for bail and told the court: "His father, Patrick Doherty, has offered £20,000 and he can also put up the deeds on three properties, worth £500,000."
David Doherty's father has appeared in the Channel 4 programme My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding and he won Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5 last year.
Bail was denied and David Doherty, who was on crutches, will appear at Caernarfon Crown Court on April 2
