For soft furnishings, curtains, cushions:

'Mandy's Got It Covered' Lon Cymru, Llandudno 01492 871567

She has made and fitted curtains and cushions for us from material we supplied (at a fraction of the price of John Lewis curtains, as we have found...) and her work is excellent and very competitively priced.

Mandy also makes loose covers for furniture. She is highly recommended.

I have some shoes and boots that need re-heeling, I took them to the one by Weatherspoons last time, but each time I went back it was closed, so a reliable one would be useful to me.  Are there any good ones around here?

I'm wanting to have the sleeves of a jacket altered and would appreciate it if anyone could recommend a good seamstress or tailor in the local area?

Further to Bellringer's post, I have used them and they gave an excellent service.

Deane's Removals - Vale Road Llandudno Junction LL31 9SH 01492 582934.

Local family firm, brilliant service, cannot recommend highly enough.

Thanks Bellringer and Bosun for your recommendation, I've only just taken my jacket in for alteration today and I'm very impressed with the place and the charge is very reasonable too.  I'll pick it up on Saturday and am very confident that it will be perfect.
The last time I went into the shop was about 50 years ago when Mr Davies and his family ran the business, it was a completely different set up to how it is now.

I don't know his first name but he was Jewish and his sister did work there too.    When we were in our teens we took our jeans or trousers there to get narrowed in the "drainpipe" style.

Yes that's him, Hugo, and his sister was called Lilly.
When I came to town, we bought a house in Salisbury Court and Percy and Lilly were our neighbours, and an excellent neighbour he was. He played bridge for Wales.
