‘I was racking my brain for ways not to die then I remembered a sign I'd seen at the beach entrance'
Katie Laurie and Will Peckham were in serious danger when they were swept off their feet by a wave whilst in the sea and dragged out 40 metres

The couple were becoming exhausted and feared for their lives when Katie remembered the float to live advice she had seen on a poster at the beach entrance. She shouted to Will to try and float. Floating helped the couple regain their breath and keep their heads above water until the RNLI lifeguards reached them and took them to safety.

Paddleboarders adrift off North Wales coast rescued after someone heard cries for help
None of them were wearing lifejackets or had any means to raise the alarm
RNLI comes to the rescue again !

"Launching immediately into fair seas, the crew were swiftly on scene and bought all 4 aboard before returning to station for welfare checks; they were cold and distressed, but otherwise unharmed. None were wearing lifejackets and they had no means of reliable communications via phone or VHF radio, to raise the alarm.

Paddleboarder rescued off coast of Abersoch thanks to sharp eyed beachgoers
The off-shore winds saw the paddleboarder get into difficulties

The man had been caught out by off-shore winds and had no flotation device or means to call for help. Luckily for him he was noticed by two members of the public.

Video shows moment three people miles out to sea on tiny boat are spotted
A major search and rescue operation was launched to find the three after they were blown out to sea

This rescue was reported previously but the video shows you just how lucky the three people were when they were rescued

Three lucky survivors thanks to the RNLI   and   "One person said: "So lets all climb into a tiny inflatable boat with no engine, no oars, oh yes and lets not wear any floatation devices........really."

Sadly this is one search and rescue mission that didn't have a happy ending.
A man who went missing during a walk on Yr Wyddfa has tragically been found dead. 20-year-old John, whose last name has not been provided, vanished after last being seen on the Llanberis Path yesterday (Monday).

A major search operation was launched in a bid to find him, but police have now confirmed his body was discovered on Tuesday morning.
