Yes, we first saw that estate just the other day, I've never seen an estate quite like it, reminds me of Portmeirion in some ways.  Thanks for the link,  any other history on that estate?

Sidney Colwyn Foulkes was responsible for a scheme at Beaumaris, believed to include Maes Hyfryd, Ffordd Megan and Bryn Teg. And at Maes Canol, Abergele http://g.co/maps/3fsck

He also designed many of the buildings in Colwyn Bay itself, including the building that is now Peacocks in Station Road compete with stone pharaohs at first floor level. A very talented architect, the firm still exists today but is now longer based in the area.
