ME is correct. It is a cafe. The name in the original iron sign above was Steptoes. &well&

Yes, we first saw that estate just the other day, I've never seen an estate quite like it, reminds me of Portmeirion in some ways.  Thanks for the link,  any other history on that estate?

He also designed many of the buildings in Colwyn Bay itself, including the building that is now Peacocks in Station Road compete with stone pharaohs at first floor level. A very talented architect, the firm still exists today but is now longer based in the area.
