I'll kick off with one from the early 1970s:

1995, taken from the Clarence Hotel. The Palladium cinema is still open and it's a few years before this area is remodelled.

Good find Dave.

Looks like Apollo 13 was playing at the Palladium, the RNA club was still open, and Vollams was a thriving business.

The complete eyesore that was Mostyn Estates' attempt at redevelopment in the 1970s. The Victoria Centre now stands here.

Not quite in Mostyn Street, this is the original Market Hall, built in 1857. It was demolished in 1919 and replaced by the Palladium Theatre & Cinema (now Wetherspoons pub):

Robin Gubay did have an amusement arcade there himself (where Fifth Avenue is today) in the 60's,70's & early 80's. and the cafe was above.
I always remember the antiquated arcade machines (compared to the Royal & Goose) the Elton John posters on the walls, and the juke box belting out Showaddywaddy...."Hey Rock & Roll, we're into town lets go...."
There was also the Prize Bingo in the 70's with the Manc bingo caller...."It's on the blue, five and two....fifty two".

The Gubay's also owned the Oriental Stores on the other side of Bog Island.

Heavy snow in Llandudno around 1980. Fountains was the Horseshoe Grill back then!

This crop of a 1960s postcard show the Ford garage with petrol pumps outside that was situated where Listers is now in Upper Mostyn Street (now Listers). I can't remember what this garage was called?

Ah, thank you. Didn't they also used to be in Colwyn Bay as well? The one in the West End that was later Gordon Ford?
