"Francis Bacon car boot sales"

Francis Bacon (1561–1626)

I didn't think cars had been invented during his lifetime.  ;D

Was that the quietest day ever in the forum statistics DaveR? 7 posts in one day.
I thought I was in that Survivors programme where everyone had disappeared.
Is everyone helping out with the Extravaganza perhaps?
I wish everyone in Llandudno well for a busy and sunny weekend.

Yes, very quiet indeed. Yesterday saw a total of 1,262 visits to the Forum (obviously one person can visit more than once) and, as you say, 7 posts.

I have to confess I've been spending more time over on the Facebook groups lately, mainly because I get a large response when I post a photo there:

So, there's lots of people viewing the Forum, just not many posting. Let's hope it picks up a bit

Yes, I see what you mean about the facebook page. There are some great old photos on there and it must be an excellent place for the locals to swop stories from past and present.

I wonder what could be done to encourage more new people to post on here? It's very strange when so many people look at it but don't write anything. Come on all you watchers, tell us about yourself or post an amusing photo or even make a complaint about something!

It seems to have suddenly gone quiet on here, like a switch turned off, perhaps a graph would show it?

Sadly though, that graph also looks very similar to most of my share values!

I would not be surprised if the introduction of those awful green underlinings on many words have had some influence on the number of visitor, I now visit the forum very occasionally, up until that advertising started I was on all the time.

I don't see how that reconciles with us having the largest ever number of visitors last month, over 11,500?

Get yourself up to a couple of hundred posts (I think 250) and then you get advertising-free viewing!    ;)
