in my imagination I could see a ghostly cruise liner

Happened to have my camera when the Sea Jay was cruising by yesterday. It looked stunning in the sunlight.

I was at Ysbyty Gwynedd this morning and I always take notice of the framed photographs on the walls of the corridors. The subject matters are all in the Snowdonia area and therefore worth a good look even if you are pre-occupied with what you are doing there!

As I looked at one particular photo a gentleman introduced himself as the photographer and we had a short chat. That then prompted me to look more closely at the name on the photos. It was the same on most of them. S McNamee.
Anyone know who he is or anything about him - he certainly can take a good picture (not as good as DaveR though!!!!).

A couple of photos taken from the Great Orme last night. We were there to see the lighting of the Jubilee Beacon.

I'm just catching up with the Forum after several very busy weeks.

Thanks for posting these photos Andy.  I took my camera along and then discovered that it was sick - I think that the damp at the Thames Pageant upset it (and it's not yet made a miraculous recovery by itself :().

Great picture, but it seems strange seeing such a green beach.

Fantastic photograph David! - you have captured some beautiful cumulus/cumulonimbus/cirrus action there, and yes I agree about the greenness of the beach - it looks like you could grow spuds in that...

Really interesting photos Andy, there are some interesting people on that boat! - have you seen the 'UFO' hovering above the boat though?. It could be a candidate for the 'spooky pictures' thread - cue X Files music.....

Rifling through some old DVDs of scans of my old photographs I found a collection from a photographic assignment from when I was in college. I went out with my Canon AT1 at the crack of dawn one sunny August morning in oh, must have been 1981-ish. It was a glorious sunny day, and quite apart from these images it has stayed in my memory as one of those halcyon Llandudno days... anyway, I hope this is the right thread to post them - if not please feel free to move them to elsewhere:

I have some interesting monochrome shots from the same day if anyone is interested...
