No  guesses ?    I would have thought that this was an easy peasy one      but the answer is   Boot Hill on the Crimea Pass

Clues this is where the old wild west gunslingers could have ended up here      ==    Boot Hill Cemetery

Google   Boot Hill   Conwy County  ---     https://geotopoi.wordpress.com/2012/09/25/boot-hill-crimea-pass/

What are these and where are they?

They look new but may be about 111  years old ?

Hugo, Could they be the remains of the First World War trenches along the Chemin des Dames ridge between the rivers Aisne and Ailette in France?

Hammy, that's really good detective work and they are the remains of World War  I  trenches but they are not in France.

They are here in North Wales and very near one of our castles.     But which castle?

The castle is not in Conwy County but it's a nice place to stay for a few days

Random guess ... is it the land between Bodelwyddan Castle and the A55?  Near a castle, just outside Conwy County and the army camp was close in WW1.

Welll done DVT you are spot on and they feature in part of a walk around the castle and the woodland

North Wales has significant remnants and sites of World War One practice trenches, primarily around Bodelwyddan Castle (Kinmel Park Camp), where new recruits trained in trench warfare, with some original zig-zag patterns still visible and plans even made to recreate them, showcasing how soldiers learned to cope with the conditions of the Western Front before deployment.

It seemed familiar and I used Google earth to check!  A few years ago I was chief marshal on the Three Castles Trial and we used the track that comes into the castle from near the A55, and I seem to remember being told about the trenches.

I can also remember the camp before they built an industrial  estate on the site

Here's an easy quiz for Sunday

This could have been any road in Conwy County after all our recent heavy rainfall but I'm looking for the actual name of the road

No guesses?     Perhaps these two photos may help to identify the name of the road?

If you know the name of this bridge then you'll know the name of the road.   So what is the name of the road?

Well done Hammy, you're sot on it is Gower Road
:
Part of the road is prone to flooding and sadly an elderly man was drowned there in January while walking his dog.      Gower Bridge is a lovely footbridge and I wonder how much it would cost to build now

Gower's Bridge (the footbridge in Llanrwst) was built in 1947 by the Caernarvonshire County Council for a cost of approximately £1,500, replacing an earlier structure and serving as a footpath over the River Conwy, linking Llanrwst to Trefriw.
