Only got one wrong ... question 5 about bicycles in the left hand lane ... I Selected they would go left, they should not be going in any direction.

I got 11 out of 13.    The two I failed on were the cyclists in the left lane, it seems that they can go in any direction without indicating.    The other was the ABS warning lights being on, surely you'd automatically check your handbrake first before heading to the nearest garage?

That question was badly worded, but I suspect it was trysting to say drivers must always be prepared.

You are probably right Ian, you have to be aware of cyclists at all times.     I know that a lot of people enjoy riding their bikes but you wouldn't get me riding one now and definitely not on the A470

EV charging points in Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno and more

NEW analysis has revealed that electric vehicle drivers are being charged more to top up their batteries on long journeys than people behind the wheel of petrol cars pay for fuel.

The RAC said the average price of using rapid chargers on a pay as you go basis has increased by nearly 26p per kilowatt hour (kWh) since May, reaching 70.3p per kWh this month.

This rise caused by the soaring wholesale costs of gas and electricity means drivers pay around 20p per mile for their electricity when using the chargers.

The per mile cost for a petrol car achieving an economy of 40 miles to the gallon is just 17p, while the equivalent cost for drivers of diesel cars is 20p per mile.

Heres where you can charge up your electric vehicle in Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno and more (locations and figures courtesy of Zap-Map):............ https://www.northwalespioneer.co.uk/news/23243200.ev-charging-points-conwy-colwyn-bay-llandudno/?ref=rss&IYA-reg=49560bcd-5a9c-47f0-8fc5-ba2e71710589

Whats next, tax on breathing ............

All UK drivers could pay new tax in bid to cut emissions
The RAC thinks it could 'do more harm than good'

The UK Government is debating introducing a new "tyre tax" which would mean drivers could face paying more on their cars. The Department for Transport is looking into cracking down on carbon emissions and wants to see how tyres contribute to harmful emissions.

The DfT has reportedly hired a consultancy firm to "assess and control these emissions which will persist after a transition to zero tailpipe emission vehicles". Tyre wear could become the next challenge for governments and car manufacturers to consider in the coming years.

Emissions from tyre wear could also increase in the future as the world begins to adopt electric vehicles on a wide scale. A Government spokesman told the Telegraph: ?We want to better understand the impacts of non-exhaust emissions, such as tyres, on the environment which is why we're conducting research on the matter. This research was not commissioned to inform tax policy development.

Motorists have been warned by the RAC that missing vehicle tax payments could see them having to pay an ?80 fine along with their vehicle being clamped.

Figures analysed by the RAC show following an FOI request show a ?worrying? increase in the number of drivers having their vehicle tax direct debits cancelled by DVLA after payments couldn?t be taken due to a lack of funds.

People must tax their vehicle to use it on the roads and can pay as a one-off for the year or through a direct debit that takes the money out in smaller amounts.

Any honest motorist will know that it is illegal to drive a car on the road without road tax or a MOT so what is the DVLA going to do about the illegal motorists?
The answer is nothing and therefore the chances of getting caught are extremely limited.     The DVLA and the Police for that matter cannot even clamp a car if it is parked in the offenders drive
The North Wales Police have only 4 cars with an ANPR and besides that have more important things than doing the DVLA's job for them I've said it before the DVLA as a debt management Agency is not fit for purpose and the situation is getting worse and the UK is losing hundreds of millions of pounds each and every year because of the policy of the DVLA
