I've heard it all now. I was travelling back from Cardiff on a train out of Chester when a Grandma and her two grand daughters aged about 5 years and 3 years old sat across from me. As we got moving  the grandma asked the elder grand daughter whether the younger one still had a dummy to go to sleep with. The elder grand daughter said "yes because if she doesn't have one then she keeps moaning and that makes me so f***ing cross".  The Grandma did and said absolutely nothing!

Yep... thats today's society!    I'm just surprised that she knew the word 'cross'

No doubt they were travelling to Rhyl?    Colwyn Bay?   Or worse?

I would die (closely followed by whichever one of mine said it) if one of my lads came out with that kind of language.  It's no wonder when they weren't even reprimanded for it.  Disgraceful and a shame for the kids.  You can imagine their home life.

Our daughter trained as a nanny. This was 25 years ago and even then kids of 3 and 4 in nursery school used to say they were going for a s**t. What they would come out with now is un-thinkable.

And it's hard to know whether the increasing ubiquity of these words on TV is the cause or merely a symptom.

There has always been a subsection of society that behaves in such a way, most people are perfectly well behaved.

But I suspect the use of foul language by children is on the increase, and being both seen as acceptable and encouraged in ways it wasn't forty years ago.

When I was in school in the 1970s, every other word was a swear word.

And that was just the teachers....

Same at my school as we were not allowed to wear dresses.
