Big lambs.
Not started lambing yet up here.

Some lambs as early as December here but the hill breeds are usually March/April.

We were amazed when we moved to Wales to see tiny lambs out in the field in January. When we lived in the Peak District we never saw them out before April.
The farmer near us was telling us that it had been a good year for the lambs because of the warm weather.
Let us hope the virus doesn't come here.

Anyone see the propellor plane yesterday at 1.30 doing tricks on the top of the Orme.  We thought he was crashing as he came zooming low over the sea with white smoke belching out then shot up to the summit and did a corkscrew vertical descent.  Don't like flying at the best of times!

Some enterprising forger will no doubt turn his hand to Postage Stamps - very hard to detect a good forgery!    :(

Not wishing to start panic buying at places like Superdrug (cheap books of First class stamps) etc but I think that if you buy books of the ones marked 1st Class or 2nd Class (ie not the monetary value) at the pre end of April price they are still valid after the end of April.

I did this the last time they went up and I am still using them!   With interest rates so low it was a pretty good investment - especially so now they are going up again!    Z**

Small shops will make a mint by bulk buying.

That's over a 25% increase.

Postage stamps and petrol pump prices will cause inflation to rise back up again.

They are valid forever. Royal Mail don't put prices on the stamps anymore because the price changes so often. They just put 1st or 2nd. Many moons ago an employee got a nice bonus for that suggestion!

No, what will happen instead is that the govt will point to some obscure electrical product, and say that because that went down in price for 20 minutes, it caused the annual inflation rate to fall overall.

No matter what party is in power the LIES about inflation will continue.
There is a thread on this very Forum that I raised called 'inflation'
I had the audacity to suggest that prices were rising over a year ago.... but I was shouted down.

It is snowing heavily here and I am not in Switzerland!
The second photo was taken yesterday and the first one a few minutes ago.

I've seen it.  The first local filling station to burst through the £1-50 per litre mark.

Indeed Mike,

But when I have raised the issue of inflation on here in the past, I have been told I am imagining it!  ???
