Years ago while in the Albion a fake £20 note was taken over the bar, the staff were none the wiser and I didn't realise until cashing up.  I was fuming when I found it but it's too late then.  I kept the £20 note to show other staff what to look for in a dodgy note.  I had it for years,  my eldest works in retail and so I've even shown him the note on one occasion when the topic of fake currency came up.  However today the counter staff in his shop have been handed £100 in fake £20 notes, the Police were called and as my eldest is now a manager they have obviously taken a statement from him.......which goes something like this:
Policeman "Have you ever  seen a fake £20 note before?"
My eldest "Yes my Mum had one a couple of months ago"
Policeman"oh right where did she get it?"
Gavin "Pen..... I think"
Can you bl**dy believe that  :o He's taken my name and everything!!  I'm laughing but it will be on the other side of my face when I'm in St Asaph later....The muppet.
So it's now official my eldest has been disowned

Thannkks Nemises I cannot argue against Wikipedia. However on a local basis I always understood that it arrived because of the blackout during the war. The. First local road to have one was on the what is now the uphill section from Penrhyn Bay to the Llandudno welcomes you sign. in those days it was narrow because it had two way traffic. By the way I don't me an the very old section which is now a cycle track.Even I cannot remember back that far mike

All of them are thought-provoking, some of them are downright bizarre...
On the same website, you can click on (via the same link) pictures of Betty White,  the American actress who was in The Golden Girls.   She was very attractive for many decades... take a look.

My mate Kev is a man of many talents, just recently he has started to make these concrete lions.  He sells them on Llandegai Boot Sale.  The definition and detail is incredible.  He sells them for £30 each or 2 for £50.

They look very good, hard to tell how big they are? assuming they are around 2 foot tall and for the garden they will look great once aged with mosses etc (using the old brushed on yogurt trick!)

Just another ten days before the mornings finally start to get lighter.
