Fury in North Wales valley where couples declare undying love on 'hidden gem' bridge
People are not happy with what's been done there

Who would do such a poitless thing like that?
Here's just an add on about the bridge itself:-
The present bridge was completed in 1947 at the cost of just £1,500! The graceful suspension bridge might also be called a Love Bridge! Couples have plighted their troth here in the form of padlocks with their names inscribed on them. A count in 2018 revealed there were 40 padlocks.

Lovers bridge padlocks removed over safety concern
Padlocks engraved with couples' names and messages of love were attached to Gower's Bridge over the River Conwy in Llanrwst.

But Conwy council said some locks were recently removed because they "were causing the mesh to rust" which has led to safety concerns.

Repairs to a burst main leaving thousands without water may not be completed until tomorrow
'We are rerouting water through our network and tankers are being mobilised to keep as many people on supply as possible'

I was timed out on the previous link but it seems that you'll have to wait until tomorrow before the water is switched back on Steve
Mrs H was in Parc Llandudno this afternoon and some of the shops were closing because of the problem with the water

Worst issue is toilets. Even with three we're getting worried.

The water has been off in Colwyn Bay for a few hours now and we have filled some pans with water for the essentials.      Luckily we have a couple of water butts so they can be used for the toilets but let's hope that Wales Water can fix the leaks asap

Desperate times calls for desperate measures

'I'm filling up containers in the sea' - people are getting desperate in Conwy water crisis
Can't drink, can't flush, can't shower. Water supplies are off and shops have run out of bottles - and it may go on for days
