arthur askey

when we running the washington in the sixties.  arthur askey came in the lounge bar with a large group of members of the cast  but my mum and myself cannot remember where they were playing he was a very nice gent. did not seem full of himself  and he had a pink gin so if there are  pics - posters   i thank you in anticipation  romanjohn.

He appeared at the Pier Pavilion a few times. Possibly he was there for a show called 'What a Racket', which toured in the 1960s several times? I dont have a Llandudno poster but here is one from Torquay:

With the great Jessie Mathews who made her name ( for the second time round) as Mrs Dale in Mrs Dales Diary later to be renamed as The Dales on the old steam radio.   :)
