Heritage Consultant Peter Alexander has just completed a review of the Llandudno Museum collection. Peter has agreed to give a short talk to the group, about his findings, which will include something about the more important items within the museum collection, and a demonstration of MODES, the new museum cataloguing system.
Hopefully, this talk will give non-museum people an opportunity to see how museum items are stored on an electronic database, as well as an understanding of the museum collection.
We will also have a demonstration of how items are photographed, and then uploaded onto the museum database.
The museum collection needs photographing, and there are opportunities available to take on small research projects around items of the musuem collection which are currently not on display, and with little background. Small online / on site exhibitions or talks could then be given.
