The Great Orme Exploration Society (GOES) will be having a tent at the Llandudno Extraveganza on Saturday 5th May and Sunday 6th May.

Find GOES at the Ty Gwyn entrance - that's the one near the pier gates.

The lid of the Ty Gwyn entrance will be open to have a look into the start of the adit.

See the findings from the recent survey the Great Orme Exploration Society has just completed of the remains of Llandudno's Old Pier.

There will be a 'walk and talk' under the current pier to hear and see more about the Old Pier on Saturday 5th May and Sunday 6th May. Meet at 5:00pm at the GOES tent / pier gates. Bring wellies and waterproofs. The steps down to the beach can be a bit slippy.

Also visit the GOES exhibition at Llandudno Museum.

Llandudno Museum is open everyday across the Extraveganza weekend, 10:30 - 5:00pm except Sundays: 2:15 - 5:00pm.

Tree roots used to grow down into the original Ty Gwyn entrance. The trees are no loger there, but when in this tunnel it is sometimes possible to hear people above ground walking and talking.

We had two fantastic days at the 2012 Llandudno extraveganza. Thanks to everyone who visited the GOES tent - we hope you enjoyed hearing about the Society, and look forward to seeing some new members on the summer walks. For more information visit www.goes.org.uk
