Love the little wine shop in Conwy, sells nothing but good products like the Albion no commercial beer or wine just good quality product, shame Llandudno has nobody who can invest in the town.I fully understand its the rent that stops anyone from doing it,like Edwards the butcher the rent stops any local doing it,

Agreed Wrex, its a very nice and attractive little business in Conwy.   (The Vino Monde)

I buy several Xmas presents every year in there, they deserve to do well.

I do wonder if they will be able to sustain the additional branch they have opened in Conwy though.
I assume they know what they are doing.  $drink1$

I noticed this afternoon the baby shop Little Poppets & Co has closed down.

It is next to the Yorkshire Building Society in Mostyn Street.

Over the past few days, have any forum members been stopped yet by the females patrolling Mostyn Champneys claiming to be carrying out a survey on behalf of the centre?

Saw her this afternoon Bri,all to do with this TKMAXX application i rekon,i asked a lad in Halfords about this new store next door and he told me they will not let on who it is.Now you know me,i reckon its all to do with this application and the survey will back the park on change of use but im in favour anyway, rather a clothes store than an empty store.

There were several females conducting the survey today and they have been hanging around for a few days.

We never indulge in surveys after agreeing to one at the front door 20 years ago and later regretting it.

I am slightly confused, wrex, with your comments because Halfords is next door to Dreams and the TK Maxx is supposed to be going into the ten-pin bowling unit next door to Iceland Frozen Food.

Bri if you look above Dreams there is a big banner saying exciting new store coming soon, yet the managers are not saying who it is to anyone,my conclusion is maybe TKMAXX where originally going there until superbowl came about, why it should all be so hush, hush i don;t know.

It's not because it's a failing business or anything. They were doing very well, they have just decided to relocate back to London

Wouldn't you sell a thriving business. rather than just close it down?

They still have the same business they are just moving it from Llandudno to London. So no they couldn't sell it

Why not just open another shop in London if this one is doing so well?

I don't know for sure, but it's just a small family run business by the two of them, I suppose they don't have the resources to expand.

I understand that Publishers Book Clearance may be opening in the former Hoosons Chemist premises on Upper Mostyn Street.

Last night, I noticed a shop in Clonmel Street was being emptied.

It was once a Manweb shop and later Swetenhams, estate agents.
