USB slide scanner
« on: September 20, 2010, 07:00:10 pm »
I purchased a USB slide scanner last year, it seems to be quite a simple device much like a webcam, but with a slot for scanning old slides - I've got hundreds of them! I successfully scanned a few when I bought it but it has been packed away for a few months as I haven't had time to do any more, it's quite a time consuming activity - identifying the slides to scan etc. It was working perfectly well before I packed it away.

Now when I try to connect it, I get three quick  "dongs" rather than the "dong ding" sound when connecting a USB device. It didn't come with any software,  and my  PC isn't recognising the device.  Not sure what to do next, I'd be grateful for any advice :(
