But more to the point; last time we found ourselves in the quiet corner, up the stairs on the right-hand side of the pub.
The right hand side being the closest to the tram tracks.

Lets hope we are lucky enough to get that space again.
I didn't book anything with the pub because I was not sure of numbers,and we aren't eating anything so its informal.

A very pleasant evening tonight, when 14 of us descended upon The King's Head for a few drinks and a natter.

(I hope I haven't forgotten anyone)

If there is a wish to arrange a get together more often, then mention it on here, and it will be done!

Great night folks-- enjoyed meeting you all. Sorry to be first to break up the party, but I knew that our guest was ready to leave and so I would have someone to walk home with. Good job too as we met a very drunk and as usual abusive 'Joey' on the way down-- he was coming up the hill as we walked down.

I hope none of you were too worried by the Council spies who came to see who all these people were who say such nasty things about them on the Forum!  They probably had miniature cameras poking through their button holes and lapels, and small directional "listening" devices!  As everyone knew where you would be sitting even the tables could have been bugged! 

The next Council Meeting could be interesting!   Maybe it will be held "in camera".
