The Transport Secretary has voiced his frustration at drivers who used flooded roads during the recent Storm Bert and spoke about future investment on the A55. Ken Skates MS was speaking as he visited North Wales to thank traffic management staff in Conwy for their efforts during the "multi-hazard" weather which brought snow, rain and strong winds to the region.

North Wales Live took the opportunity to ask Mr Skates, who is Cabinet Secretary for Transport and North Wales, about what motorists think are the most pressing issues - including coping with flooding, tackling potholes on the A55 and Menai Suspension Bridge repairs.

Wales’ longest road is a majestic route with eccentric sections and a mystery end
At 186 miles long, it can be frustrating in places but is always breathtaking

I've heard the A470 in North Wales called a lot of things but never a majestic route

A470 section shut by crash and drivers told to divert
The accident is causing congestion in the wider area

Not such a majestic route tonight and the A470 seems to be in the same league as the A55 when it comes to accidents

Thinking of flashing other drivers about speed cameras....then think again
Highway Code rule on flashing headlights and what might happen if you do it
We could be flashing a mate who is travelling in the opposite direction to us?       8)

Car crashes into house as pictures show scale of damage
Police remained at the scene of the incident on Thursday morning
I seem to remember Bri Roberts having a relation who lived near this spot and in more recent years a car smashed into the nearby Shop in Pentywyn Road Deganwy had a car smashing into it causing thousands of pounds worth of damage

Footage shows drunk driver travelling wrong way down A55
I'm pleased that the Police are taking a proactive approach to drink and drug driving on the roads this Christmas and wish that it could be an all round the year approach.      It's not only drink and drugs that are the problem but the standard of driving by some motorists is just unbelievable

Pedestrian hit by car in Llandudno as police search for witnesses
Officers specifically want to speak to the driver of a red car which had a rubber duck attached to the aeria
l
I hope that the pedestrian was not seriously hurt in the incident but the report sounds like a hit and run incident

Hugo, it seems the incident took place 10 days before the appeal was made.  These delays seem a regular feature with appeals even ones dealing with serious issues of violence.  I would have thought that getting info out there promptly would have more effect as any potential witnesses would have any detail fresh in their minds.

Cambrian, you are spot on with what you have said about the Police.     There doesn't seem to be any urgency attached to this incident or other similar incidents in the past
I'm sure that if they posted on facebook or other social medias they would have had a reply within 24 hours.      Let's face it a red car with tinted windows and a rubber duck on the car aerial should trigger peoples memories, I think that the Police are quackers not to have followed this up immediately
