LIFEBOAT CALLED TO LITTLE ORME
Llandudno RNLI inshore lifeboat was called out at 4.40 p.m. today (Sunday 1/4) to go to the assistance of three youths, two of whom were in solo kayaks with the third on a stand-up paddle board.
All three had experienced difficulties in the choppy sea conditions off the Little Orme's Angel Bay; the youth on the board had fallen off it into the sea a number of times and as a result was cold, wet and tiring.
Launching from tthe north shore at 4.51 p.m. the lifeboat reached the scene minutes later just as the youths had managed to come ashore to safety at Penrhyn beach.
The RNLI crew ascertained that none of the three needed medical attention and remained with them until Llandudno coastguard arrived to give the trio some sea safety advice. The lifeboat then returned to Llandudno for recovery.
