Nice, thanks DaveR.
I did have a look on your blog to see if there were any more and saw the gardens one. I also tried to look at your facebook page but it seems to have disappeared from my likes. Have you closed that page? If not could you send me a link to it please?

All round the Marine Drive someone has scrawled what look like instructions such as GOAT .--- NO PAIN NO GAIN.-- GO RHOS and various other messages on the surface of the road. My OH noticed them yesterday a.m when he took the dog out. Sally Pidcock is aware of them and the general consensus is that it was done by" Lycra Louts "involved with the cycle race. She has contacted the organisers and steps are in place to remove them.
I have some pics, but they aren't mine and until I ask permission I can't reproduce them.

It certainly sounds like the cyclists are reponsible for the grafitti, 'GO RHOS' is obviously a reference to Rhos Cycling Club, who organised the event:

How disappointing that they chose to treat the Great Orme like that.  &shake&

Maybe it would be an idea to tell the Sponsors (Delsol) and see what they say about their name being associated with such matters!   :D

So let me get this straight, some "lycra louts" daubed some words on a road in order to give a cycling race slightly more of a European feel and now Llandudno is on the slippery slope to hell in a handcart that's being pushed by Red Ed and the liberal mafia.

Are you lot for real?

Surely it wouldn't be the "lycra louts" themselves but their loved ones writing a simple message of support and encouragement in chalk that will have probably washed off after tonight's rain?

In my time I was a prominent member of Rhos Cycling Club, I loved it, and I still have a very soft spot for them.

But, even allowing for that nostalgia, as far as vandalism goes a few slogans on the road can hardly be considered very high up the list.

I would have thought the Orme Warden has far worse examples of vandalism to get after. If not, I'll give her plenty.  Mike
