I sent the aircraft one to a friend who lives in Congleton Cheshire which is directly under the flight path from Manchester.
He says he doesn't want to know what MIGHT land on him so he refuses to look at it.
I agree, it is good.
Have you all seen the Chinook activity lately, wonderful machines, two together last week.

Yes I've seen the Chinooks flying overhead, yesterday and last week, good to see!

There are more Minesweepers than you can shake a stick at around Scotland today.
The Sound of Mull has a few which are Norwegian, Danish & Dutch.
The Firth of Clyde and surrounding areas has a frigate or two PLUS, HMS Dauntless our very own RN destroyer.
HMS Dragon has been known to frequent home waters, she is not traceable at the moment which probably means she is operational.
She used to have a very large red dragon painted on her bows but the MOD said to reduce the size as it was too aggressive, it's a warship, it's supposed to look aggressive.

There's a dirty old American fleet auxilary just south west of the Isle of Man sailing north and HMS Kent a county class frigate is heading south from the Firth of Clyde.
Could be fireworks later.
The American ship looks like the one which James Cagney was the skipper on with the potted palm on the bridge.
Was it Henry Fonda who was the ensign?
I wonder if Fester will know the name of the film?

Yup Cat, you are not wrong.
Just Googled it and the ship was rightly named, USS Reluctant.
Thanks Cat.

All military activity in /off west coast of Scotland is Exercise Joint Warrior.
Started today for 2 weeks.
Anyone heading up this way especially hill walkers need to be aware that at certain times and loctions sat navs will be disabled.

Nice one Mull.
I'll keep my eye on that.
There was an exercise last year and just as it got interesting, they turned their transponders off.
 ;)

The Llandudno Town Council website has fallen apart again. A Wordpress backend and modified design template is what they need. Easy to set up, maintain and very reliable. All my websites run that way.
