I've just had a leaflet pushed through my letterbox on behalf of the Conservative Party and there is a big headline in it "20,000 extra Police (delivered) "
In 2019. the Government promised to recruit 20,000 extra Police and the Government recruited every single one. Don't forget that that was Boris' promise and he wouldn't lie, would he?
The article didn't say whether the 20,000 recruits were in addition to the existing Police compliment in 2019 or not. Are they just manipulating statistics? It makes me wonder as I haven't seen a Police Officer on the beat for many years
