What a lovely place to be Hollins,  my favourite place on the island is Cala Galdana although everywhere there seems to be nice.

Yes, thanks Hugo. I had read on the Menorca travel page that you and Wrex liked it here. It is lovely and peaceful as you say. We are at Cala Llonga on the opposite side of the harbour to Mahon.
I am on holiday with my sister who is recently bereaved and was looking for someone to holiday with. Hollins just had to step in, how could I refuse!

Statham Lodge has good rep DaveR and close to aiden byrnes restaurant the church green in lymm.  Areas around tatton park and dunham massey also very nice.  Cottons hotel superb but pricey near tatton.

My sister mentioned the Cottons as well but I haven't been there. Knutsford is a lovely small town with interesting old buildings DaveR.

OH took me on a date there.  Bit posh for me, was very nice though.  The walks around tatton are lovely and the gardens superb.  Think they have hotel in the grounds as lots of wedding parties.

Sorry I am unable to bring you a dazzling view of sunsets and picturesque vistas, but my usual suite of rooms has been snaffled by the entourage of some Eastern Potentate who would not give them up for a handful of Shekels.  But here is the view we have.  Enjoy as we are doing!
