Perhaps not !!!

Can I ask why not?

Without sounding racist in any way, many local business owners aren't keen because of their attitude and habits.

The Reform and Liberal groups are fine. They're far from the insular nature of Charedi or Brethren. It's tricky, because it's impossible to consider the various facets of Judaism or Christianity as a single entity. Parochiality and insularity are rife amongst certain groups within all religions and I was thinking if the hotels were bought by those who believe in integration rather than segregation we'd have a better place.

That's very interesting, B. So just to get this clear, what the hotels have is an 'arrangement' with the Council, with no legislative backing? The reason I ask is that - presumably - if the composition of the Council were to change, say - by merging with another,  for instance - than such an arrangement couldn't be enforced? Is that right?

If the Council make up were to change (probably for the better) we would, as a group of influential business rate payers, with the full backing of outside groups such as British Hospitality and Visit Wales, renegotiate with whoever was in power, to ensure the current arrangement remained the status quo.

I did not realise the setup with MBI hotels until reading your post and looking on line, I assumed just a standard hotel group,............ very clever.........

My friends say I am cynical so........that would make six in a small area, that's a lot of people investing in Llandudno and expecting a good return for their money....that's a lot of bookings .......and they would be competing with each other, as well as the existing hotels........... &shake&

My colleague has just looked into Caerhun Hall rumour and MBI say they've not bought it....

They've said they would like to though. It'd be a big project for them.

Nice to see a company making some decent size investments in Llandudno. Has anyone pointed MBI in the direction of the Pier Pavilion site?  ££$  $good$
