A REVAMPED Llandudno hotel will officially open next week. After a multi-million pound redevelopment, the now named Llandudno Bay Hotel and Spa will open its doors at a special event on Friday, July 10.
The 61-bedroom Grade II listed building, formerly known as the Regency Royal Hotel, was purchased last December and will create 100 jobs.
Chris Evans, general manager at Llandudno Bay Hotel said: “The speed in which the work has been completed on this grand building has been astonishing; especially with the high quality achieved.
“We have had a lot of interest from locals, who are excited to have a new venue at which to meet and socialise with friends, family and colleagues, and to show-off to visitors to Llandudno.
“We are very excited that the hotel is opening and look forward to welcoming guests.”
The redevelopment has seen the building transformed into a 61-bedroom, boutique style hotel, with a 90 cover restaurant, bar and lounges with function space for over 150 people.
Cllr Frank Bradfield, mayor of Llandudno, said: “I have been watching this development with interest and it is fantastic news that there is continued investment in the town.
“The new owners seem to be enthusiastic about the project and it has progressed well over a relative short space of time, which is very pleasing.
“I feel this will be a wonderful addition to the town and it is set to contribute significantly to jobs in the area is extremely welcome.”
Another hotel owned by MBi Developments, the Belmont Hotel, will open later in the year and the firm recently purchased the former Grand Theatre site on Mostyn Broadway for £140,000.
