You have spoken: 90% want fireworks rules to change to protect pets
Thousands of InYourArea readers responded to our poll - with more than half voting for an outright ban on fireworks

Fireworks have always evoked 'oohs' and 'ahs' of wonder from spellbound crowds but they're also responsible for 'oohs' of pain and 'ahs' of terror. With firework season upon us, we wanted to get your thoughts on the colourful combustibles and if it's time to change the rules.

So, we created a poll and out of a whopping 4,544 votes 92.4% of you voted in favour of changing current firework regulations. The figures are staggering with 52.4% voting for an outright ban while 40% would like to see a firework curfew introduced.
