The building on the left, is most likely the Orme Court Hotel at the end of Tudno Street

Could anyone have a stab at the address of the building second from the left? It looks like my home!

If you live where I imagine you do from previous comments the second building visible from the left could be what is now the house below the Bistro which would be Old Road. The third one on could be Tudno St. Any help?

Building on the left is definitely the Orme Court Hotel, whilst on the right of the photo we have the Tabernacl and the Sunnyside Hotel.

The building to the immediate right of the Orme Court Hotel appears to be the back of the building on Church Walks that faces the Tram Station.

The buildings to the left of the Sunnyside Hotel are the buildings that are on Llewelyn Ave today (the roofline and windows all match up with the modern view on Streetview). What's certainly changed is that the ground floors all appear to be in use as shops, something I never previously knew.

Distances between buildings can appear very misleading in these early photos, as the perspective is a bit odd. Buildings can appear to be close to each other, when they are, in fact, not!

Do you think the building to the left of centre is the bottom of Old Road or elsewhere?
I'm with you with the Tabernacle and the Sunnyside, but as you say some of the others look strange.
Do you mean what was Blue Cloud Lodge? (!)

That's what I thought it was. The other buildings on Old Road and Water St. must not have been built yet.

I may be wrong, but there seems to be a dearth of photos from the 1948 - 1960 period.

I think I had an example of most of the cars on show, including an ex-GPO Morris 1000 van.

Hi

The 1972 picture above is a scan I got from my dad - he's working through his old slides and negatives. This was from their first holiday with my older brother, so is sometime in summer 1972 - that's my mum with the pram.  I expect he'll have lots more Llandudno shots as he works his way through the stack.

Thanks for the identification of the street - the church(?) on the right seems to have gone now from what I can see on google earth - is that correct?

Looking forward to see what other Llandudno shots you may have.

Yes, the Church was replaced by a block of flats not that long ago.

I can make out a Ford Corsair and a Triumph Herald. (Or was it a Vitesse?)  :)
