It will be a FANTASTIC event.

I have five family members coming for 4 days especially for this, and they are spread across 2 hotels.

The weather must surely be kind to us, seeing as its been terrible for the last week and the forecast for the next 7 days is dire.

It must be due to change by then.  Can't wait, and well done to Wrex and the other organisers.  $good$ &well& &well&

I hope the people/businesses of Llandudno appreciate all the hard work you and the others do, and send a few pounds to help towards next year's event.  $good$

I was a bit surprised to see yellow posters advertising Colwyn Bay Prom Day attached to the taxi rank railings by Palladium. I wonder if there are posters in Colwyyn Bay advertising the Extravaganza?

Seen on another thread:

"The Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza will be taking over the streets of Llandudno on May 5th, 6th and 7th May 2012."

But it will be bringing in many visitors and lots of cash to the town, that must be good surely? At least you can go and look at the transport festival on Bodafon Fields, we loved it last year D)

I too love the transport Festival, not just for the exhibits, but because it is well organised, is restricted to a particular area and does not infringe on ones ability to visit the town and its facilities.

The number of businesses who gain from the "Victorian" Extravaganza are not that many, and there are plenty of retailers who would rather not have the Event.  Such do not, of course, include cafes, fish and chip shops, pubs, ice-cream sellers, pick pockets and shop lifters, to name just a few!

I will only come into town out of sheer necessity.

That's how I feel.  There are plenty who feel different and enjoy the event and I hope they have a great time and spend lots of money in the town.  It will not however, make one iota of difference to our rates bill next year and the Extravaganza Committee will be out with the begging bowls yet again, due to lack of support from those who you say gain from the event.
