Interesting. I suspect the changes in registered office are down to the particular volunteer changing every so often. It used to be the case that none of the administrative staff was paid, but the reality is that the event always takes a lot of time to organise and unless you can find a willing millionaire with a lot of time on their hands it's probably no longer practical to take that approach.

Well im back from a weekend away and glad that at least people are talking about it,as for making money,i wish,no it others that make money, charities over the weekend, cafes, restaurants and all hotels( most allow only 3 night bookings), the committee only put the event on for the town,i would love somebody to tell me what i ever gained from it. Anyway i hope Alan Guinn the acting chairman has got his committee sorted and is trying to pick up the pieces, anyone wanting to offer help and support could speak to Dave Mann on 01492 872688.

It is a shame nobody from the committee thought of informing the NWWN so it could have been included in today's edition.

Cllr Ann Yates is on the case according to the Pioneer!   So now there is nothing to fear apart from fear itself!

Once the Council get their grubby hands on the Extravaganza it will go the same way as the Decorative Lighting and the pathetic Xmas Parade!    :rage:

Going along to meeting tonite to see if i can help,i would never had got involved again but when somebody leaves at such short notice i suppose it is all hands on deck.Iam hoping the event does not have to decrease as much as the press are saying. When i see that coach firms and even train companies are all coming into town on the precept that there will be an event ,i would hate for this town to get a bad name so im of to help.

It may help if someone updated the website.

What is the situation with the website, Wrex? It looks as though it hasn't been touched since all the problems last year?
