PHW confirmed that 367 of the latest 1,393 Welsh cases came from the northern region.

• Anglesey – 35 (50.0 per 100,000 population)
Conwy – 54 (46.1 per 100,000 population)
• Denbighshire – 64 (66.9 per 100,000 population)
• Flintshire – 85 (54.5 per 100,000 population)

BCUHB stats:
• Total confirmed COVID-19 cases from North Wales as of August 24 – 50,440

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) – the largest health board in Wales – has reported 972 people have sadly died since the start of the pandemic, according to PHW data.

Figures from the Office for National Statistics, which are considered a stronger indicator of the overall impact of the virus, and which are based on all deaths where COVID is mentioned on the death certificate, stand at 1,433 for the health board area.

Across Wales, figures for Delta infections stand at 15,341 since the records began. Of this number, 5,608 cases are from the North Wales region.

The total cases per county can be broken down as such:
• Anglesey – 263
Conwy – 1,045
• Denbighshire – 1,156
• Flintshire – 1,280
• Gwynedd – 557
• Wrexham – 1,301

The national picture:
Across Wales, another 1,393 COVID cases were confirmed in the latest figures, meaning that 266,149 people are now known to have contracted the coronavirus since the pandemic began.

There were no new deaths reported on Tuesday, with the figure at 5,658 across Wales since the start of the pandemic.

Headline figures show that, across Wales, 2,339,253 people have had their first COVID-19 jab. Of that figure, a total of 2,166,569 have completed the two-dose treatment.

Public Health Wales figures released on Wednesday (August 25) show that 315 new cases have been confirmed in the region.

Anglesey - 23

Conwy - 48

Denbighshire - 62

Flintshire - 77

Gwynedd - 46

Wrexham - 59

Sadly, a further four people who had tested positive for coronavirus in the last 28 days have died in the latest 24-hour period.

There are currently 33 coronavirus patients in North Wales hospitals - which makes up just 1 per cent of all inpatients at hospitals in the region.

There has been one more coronavirus death and 471 new cases across North Wales in the last day.

According to Public Health Wales there have now been 976 people in the Betsi Cadwaladr area to die within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test since the start of the pandemic.

The new death was the only one in Wales, bringing the total across the country to 5663.

Across Wales there were another 2,389 coronavirus cases identified in the day ending 9am yesterday (August 25).
This means the total number of infections across Wales is now 270,243 since the start of the pandemic.

Betsi Cadwaladr as a whole: 471 new cases - total 51,226

Anglesey: 33 new cases - total 3,185
Conwy: 95 new cases - total 6,893
Denbighshire: 89 new cases - total 7,473
Flintshire: 82 new cases - total 13,363
Gwynedd: 104 new cases - total 5,348
Wrexham: 68 new cases - total 14,964

Public Health Wales figures released on Friday (August 27) show that 391 new cases have been confirmed in the region in the latest 24-hour period - down from 471 from previous figures.

All in all, 1,791 new cases were recorded throughout the whole of Wales.

A full breakdown of new North Wales cases is as follows (previous latest figures in brackets):

Anglesey - 29 (down from 33)
Conwy - 79 (down from 95)
Denbighshre - 74 (down from 89)
Flintshire - 58 (down from 82)
Gwynedd - 85 (down from 104)
Wrexham - 66 (down from 68)

Five deaths have been recorded throughout Wales over the last 24 hours.

A total of 5,688 deaths have been recorded throughout the whole of Wales since figures first started being recorded - with 979 of those coming under the Betsi Cadwaladr region of North Wales.

The number of people to have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine stands at 2,349,268 and figures for those who are double-jabbed are 2,174,937

OVER 2,000 new coronavirus cases have been reported across Wales, latest figures show.

Data released by Public Health Wales on August 29 show that 2,357 cases were reported across Wales, of which 373 were in the North.

• Anglesey – 37 (52.8 per 100,000 population)
Conwy – 90 (76.8 per 100,000 population)
• Denbighshire – 63 (65.8 per 100,000 population)
• Flintshire – 51 (32.7 per 100,000 population)
• Gwynedd – 71 (57.0 per 100,000 population)
• Wrexham – 61 (44.9 per 100,000 population)

It is important to note that no data was published on Saturday so today's figures will reflect that.

BCUHB stats:
• Total confirmed COVID-19 cases from North Wales as of August 29 – 51,990.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board – the largest health board in Wales – has reported 979 people have sadly died since the start of the pandemic, according to PHW data.

Figures from the Office for National Statistics, which are considered a stronger indicator of the overall impact of the virus, and which are based on all deaths where COVID is mentioned on the death certificate, stand at 1,435 for the health board area.

The national picture:
Across Wales, another 2,357 COVID cases were confirmed in the latest figures, meaning that 274,390 people are now known to have contracted the coronavirus since the pandemic began.

There were three new deaths reported on Sunday, with the figure at 5,671 across Wales since the start of the pandemic.

Headline figures show that, across Wales, 2,349,268 people have had their first COVID-19 jab. Of that figure, a total of 2,174,937 completed the two-dose treatment.

Three out of the six areas in North Wales were above the Wales average of 119.3 cases per 100,000 of the population, as shown below.

• Gwynedd – 164 (131.7 per 100,000 population)
Conwy – 150 (128.0 per 100,000 population)
• Wrexham – 149 (109.6 per 100,000 population)
• Denbighshire – 144 (150.5 per 100,000 population)
• Flintshire – 117 (75.0 per 100,000 population)
• Anglesey – 66 (94.2 per 100,000 population)

It is important to note that no data was published on Bank Holiday Monday so today's figures will reflect that.

NEARLY 600 newly reported cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the North Wales area, latest figures show.

Public Health Wales data released on September 3 shows that a total of 2,391 cases were reported across Wales, of which 570 were in the North.

A further six deaths were recorded throughout the whole of Wales.

The latest figures for North Wales can be broken down as such:

This week brought news of another grim milestone in the Covid pandemic.

On September 1, the official death toll in Wales passed 8,000 since the first fatality back in March 2020.

That's according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), whose Covid death figures are higher than those from Public Health Wales (PHW).

As of August 29, there were 75 people being treated for coronavirus in North Wales hospitals - which makes up roughly three per cent of the region's hospitals' inpatients.

There have now been more than 71,350 lab-confirmed cases of the virus identified from the combined counties since the outbreak of the pandemic - after more incidents were confirmed by Public Health Wales (PHW) in the latest figures released on September 6.

PHW confirmed that 945 of the latest 5,161 Welsh cases came from the northern region.

In the latest figures released by Public Health Wales on September 8, there were 2,667 new positive tests for the virus.

Sadly, ten people have died after testing positive for Covid-19.

5,712 people have now died after a positive test in Wales since the start of the pandemic.

Of the new cases in Wales as a whole, 457 were here in North Wales.
