North Wales recorded two more coronavirus deaths and 480 new cases in the past day.

According to the latest Public Health Wales data there have been now 997 people across North Wales to die within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test.

Across the whole of Wales there were nine more coronavirus deaths, bringing the total during the pandemic to 5,721.

Across the entirety of Wales there were 2,297 more confirmed coronavirus cases as of 9am yesterday.

Betsi Cadwaladr as a whole: 480 new cases - total 57,112

Anglesey: 52 new cases - total 3,695
Conwy: 93 new cases - total 8,106
Denbighshire: 69 new cases - total 8,500
Flintshire: 68 new cases - total 14,448
Gwynedd: 86 new cases - total 6,447
Wrexham: 112 new cases - total 15,916

Wales total: 2,248 new cases - total 287,126

Across Wales there have now been 2,364,393 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine given out while a total of 2,195,417 people have now been double-jabbed.

Infection rate for every 100,000 people in each area for the seven days (week up to Sep 2):
Anglesey: 392.6 (up from 371.2 )
Conwy: 544.4 (up from 522.2 )
Denbighshire: 532.9 (up from 514.1 )

A total of 2,467 new COVID cases have been identified as of Friday, September 10, with five newly reported deaths - bringing the total of deaths during the pandemic to 5,726 people.

Of those cases reported across Wales, 496 were here in North Wales.

The latest Public Health Wales figures for North Wales can be broken down as follows:

Gwynedd – 104 (83.5 per 100,000 population)
Wrexham – 103 (75.8 per 100,000 population)
Conwy – 98 (83.6 per 100,000 population)
Flintshire – 75 (48.0 per 100,000 population)
Denbighshire – 71 (74.2 per 100,000 population)
Anglesey – 45 (64.2 per 100,000 population)

The seven-day rolling rate of infection in Wales is now 522.7 positive cases per 100,000 people in Wales.

The infection rate can be broken down to:
Denbighshire 577.9
Conwy 558.0
Gwynedd 458.4
Flintshire 406.8
Anglesey 401.2
Wrexham 347.2

2,196,957 people have now received their second dose of the vaccine in Wales.

Public Health Wales figures show that there were 2,317 new Covid cases across the country, with eight newly reported deaths – which sadly brings the total of deaths during the pandemic to 5,734 people.

Of the new cases reported across Wales today, 429 were here in North Wales

Anglesey – 58 (82.8 per 100,000 population)
Conwy – 79 (67.4 per 100,000 population)
Denbighshire – 72 (75.2 per 100,000 population)
Flintshire – 107 (68.5 per 100,000 population)
Gwynedd – 61 (49 per 100,000 population)
Wrexham – 52 (38.2 per 100,000 population)

The seven-day rolling rate of infection in Wales is now 557.8 positive cases per 100,000 people.

In North Wales, Conwy and Denbighshire still have the highest rates of infection, while Wrexham has the lowest.

The infection rate can be broken down to:
Anglesey – 435.4
Conwy – 585.3
Denbighshire – 604
Flintshire – 429.9
Gwynedd – 480.9
Wrexham – 395.7

A total of 2.3 million people have received their first dose of the Covid vaccine with almost 2.2m having had both.

There have now been more than 58,880 lab-confirmed cases of the virus identified from the combined counties since the outbreak of the pandemic - after more incidents were confirmed by Public Health Wales (PHW) in the latest figures released on September 13.

PHW confirmed that 847 of the latest 4,308 Welsh cases came from the northern region.

• Anglesey – 66 (94.2 per 100,000 population)
Conwy – 179 (152.7 per 100,000 population)
• Denbighshire – 124 (129.6 per 100,000 population)
• Flintshire – 186 (119.3 per 100,000 population)
• Gwynedd – 161 (129.3 per 100,000 population)
• Wrexham – 131 (96.4 per 100,000 population)

BCUHB stats:
• Total confirmed COVID-19 cases from North Wales as of September 13 – 58,884

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) – the largest health board in Wales – has reported 1,006 people have sadly died since the start of the pandemic, according to PHW data.

Figures from the Office for National Statistics, which are considered a stronger indicator of the overall impact of the virus, and which are based on all deaths where COVID is mentioned on the death certificate, stand at 1,449 for the health board area.

The national picture:
Across Wales, another 4,308 COVID cases were confirmed in the latest figures, meaning that 310,368 people are now known to have contracted the coronavirus since the pandemic began.

There were 21 more deaths reported on Monday, with the figure at 5,755 across Wales since the start of the pandemic.

ALMOST 2,000 new coronavirus cases have been recorded across Wales, latest figures show.

Data released by Public Health Wales on September 14 shows that there had been 1,924 cases across Wales, of which 399 are in the North.

• Anglesey – 44 (62.8 per 100,000 population)
Conwy – 77 (65.7 per 100,000 population)
• Denbighshire – 55 (57.5 per 100,000 population)
• Flintshire – 69 (44.2 per 100,000 population)
• Gwynedd – 91 (73.1 per 100,000 population)
• Wrexham – 63 (46.3 per 100,000 population)

BCUHB stats:
• Total confirmed COVID-19 cases from North Wales as of September 14 – 59,283.

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) – the largest health board in Wales – has reported 1,007 people have sadly died since the start of the pandemic, according to PHW data, a daily increase of one.

OVER 470 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in North Wales

Public Health Wales data released on Wednesday (September 15) shows that 476 new cases of the virus have been confirmed in the region in the latest 24-hour period.

Anglesey - 40 (Seven-day infection rate of 421.2)
Conwy - 100 (Seven-day infection rate of 512.8
Denbighshire - 50 (Seven-day infection rate of 519.4)
Flintshire - 125 (Seven-day infection rate of 401.7)
Gwynedd - 67 (Seven-day infection rate of 459.2)
Wrexham - 94 (Seven-day infection rate of 392.8

As of September 5, 89 people were being treated for Covid-19 in North Wales hospitals - making up roughly 4 per cent of the region's hospital's inpatients.

Across Wales, sadly, a further 10 people who had tested positive for Covid in the last 28 days have died in the latest 24-hour period.

A total of 2.2 million of Wales' 3.1 million population have had both doses of the vaccine.

OVER 570 new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in North Wales.

Public Health Wales figures released on Thursday (September 16) show that 579 new cases have been confirmed in the region in the latest 24-hour period.

Anglesey - 44

Denbighshire - 102
Flintshire - 128
Gwynedd - 100
Wrexham - 83

Sadly, a further four people who had tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 28 days have died in Wales in the latest 24-hour period.

As of September 12, there were 121 people being treated for Covid-19 in North Wales - this has climbed by 32 since the last information on Covid inpatients in North Wales was released.

The number of Covid patients in North Wales hospitals makes up roughly 5 per cent of all inpatients at the region's hospitals.

Over 2.2 million people in Wales are double vaccinated against Covid-19.

In the latest update from Public Health Wales, it is reported that 2,717 people have tested positive for the virus.

Sadly, an additional 15 people have died after a positive covid test.

In North Wales, there were 543 new cases of the virus recorded.

The Welsh Government has announced that vaccine passes will be needed for entry into nightclubs and large events.

First Minister Mark Drakeford said people will have to show an NHS Covid Pass from next month, as part of measures introduced to help control the spread of coronavirus.

Mr Drakeford said rates of Covid-19 remain very high in Wales, but the alert level will be kept at zero for the next three weeks.

He encouraged everyone to work from home whenever possible and to make sure they are fully vaccinated.

There will also be an increase in awareness and enforcement of other key Covid-19 protection measures, including face coverings in indoor public places and on public transport.

According to Public Health Wales there have now been 1,018 people in North Wales to die within 28 days of a positive coronavirus test result.

Across the entirety of Wales there were another 17 coronavirus deaths, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 5,814.

Meanwhile there were 5,258 new confirmed infections, meaning the total now stands at 328,074.

The Monday coronavirus figures cover a 48 hour period spanning up to 9am yesterday (September 19) as Public Health Wales does not release a daily coronavirus update on a Saturday.
