There have been another 245 coronavirus cases across North Wales while one more person has died having been infected.

According to the latest data from Public Health Wales, there have now been 38,950 coronavirus cases across the Betsi Cadwaladr health board area since the start of the pandemic.

The latest figures also show there has been another death within 28 days of receiving a positive coronavirus test, meaning 951 local people have now died having had the infection.

Across the entirety of Wales there have now been 5,597 people to have died having caught the virus.

There have been another 655 cases confirmed across the whole country, meaning 223,804 people have been infected with the virus across Wales.

Locally the highest one-day increase was in Conwy, where there were another 56 cases identified.

Denbighshire: 44 new cases - total 4,871

Parts of Conwy saw a jump in case numbers yesterday, including Old Colwyn & Llanddulas 8 and Abergele (6). Kinmel Bay & Towyn, Llandudno South and Conwy & Afon Roe each reported five cases.             ref DP

AMOST 700 new COVID cases have been recorded in Wales, public health officials report.

There have now been almost 39,200 lab-confirmed cases of the virus identified from the combined counties since the outbreak of the pandemic - after more incidents were confirmed by Public Health Wales (PHW) in the latest figures released on July 11.

Due to PHW not reporting cases on Saturday anymore, Sunday figures are usually higher as they incorporate both days and do not represent a major spike.

PHW confirmed that 245 of the latest 698 Welsh cases came from the northern region, a total of 35.1 per cent.

• Anglesey – 14 (20.0 per 100,000 population)
Conwy – 44 (37.5 per 100,000 population)
• Denbighshire – 31 (32.4 per 100,000 population)
• Flintshire – 44 (28.2 per 100,000 population)
• Gwynedd – 18 (14.5 per 100,000 population)
• Wrexham – 94 (69.1 per 100,000 population)

BCUHB stats:
• Total confirmed COVID-19 cases from North Wales as of July 11 – 39,195

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board – the largest health board in Wales – has reported 951 people have sadly died since the start of the pandemic, according to PHW data.

Figures from the Office for National Statistics, which are considered a stronger indicator of the overall impact of the virus, and which are based on all deaths where COVID is mentioned on the death certificate, stand at 1,412 for the health board area.

The national picture:
Across Wales, another 698 COVID cases were confirmed in the latest figures, meaning that 224,501 people are now known to have contracted the coronavirus since the pandemic began.

There were no new deaths reported over the weekend, with the figure remaining at 5,579 across Wales since the start of the pandemic.

Headline figures show that, across Wales, over 2,273,560 people have had their first COVID-19 jab. Of that figure, a total of 1,825,167 have completed the two-dose treatment.

Public Health Wales figures released on Monday (July 12) show that 358 new cases have been confirmed across the region.

Anglesey - 17 (Seven-day infection rate of 141.3)

Conwy - 56 (Seven-day infection rate of 183.4)

Denbighshire - 71 (Seven-day infection rate of (185.0)

Flintshire - 85 (Seven-day infection rate of 212.0)

Gwynedd - 33 (Seven-day infection rate of 131.7)

Wrexham - 96 (Seven-day infection rate of 329.5)

It comes after another weekend of zero coronavirus-related deaths has been recorded in Wales.

There have been another 244 positive coronavirus cases in North Wales over the last day, according to the latest figures.

The data from Public Health Wales shows there have now been 39,797 coronavirus infections across the Betsi Cadwaladr health board area since the start of the pandemic.

Across the entirety of Wales there have now been 215,962 positive coronavirus cases - with the current death toll standing at 5,580 an increase of one person over the last 24 hours, the death toll in North Wales however remains at 951.

Conwy: 36 new cases - total 4,686
Denbighshire: 43 new cases - total 5,016

MORE than 280 new cases of covid-19 have been reported across North Wales, health chiefs have said.

Public Health Wales confirmed on Wednesday that 1,135 new cases have been reported across Wales, and one further death.

Of the new cases, 288 were in the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board area.

Public Health Wales confirmed on Thursday that 861 new cases have been reported across Wales, and one further death.
Fortunately there have been no additional covid-related deaths reported in Wales.

Of the new cases, 275 were in the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board area. There have now been 40,360 cases recorded in North Wales.

The latest infection rate for Wales as a whole is 150.4 cases per 100,000 members of the population.

A TOTAL of 277 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed across North Wales, according to the latest data.

Public Health Wales announced on Friday (July 16) that Thursday that 1,083 new cases have been reported across Wales.

Sadly, there have been two additional Covid-related deaths reported in Wales taking the total to 5,583, of which 952 have been recorded in North Wales.

There have now been a total of 40,637 Covid cases recorded in the region.

81 in Wrexham
64 in Flintshire
62 in Conwy
44 in Denbighshire
20 in Gwynedd
6 on Anglesey
The latest infection rate for Wales (up to July 11) as a whole is 156.3 cases per 100,000 members of the population.

Coronavirus cases across North Wales have increased by 377 in the last 48 hours while two more people have died after catching the virus.

The latest figures from Public Health Wales show 954 people have now died across the Betsi Cadwaladr health board region since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

There have now been 5,586 people across Wales who have died within 28 days of receiving a positive Covid test - three more than the previous update.

Across the whole of Wales there were another 1,112 new coronavirus cases identified bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 230,619

OVER 585 new COVID cases have been recorded in North Wales, public health officials report.

A further 189 cases of coronavirus have been recorded across North Wales in the latest official figures (Tuesday, July 20).

Public Health Wales statistics show that there have now been a total of 41,789 infections across the Betsi Cadwaladr health board region since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

The total of new infections is markedly down on yesterday's 586, but this covered a 48-hour period due to Public Health Wales no longer reporting new cases on a Saturday.

However North Wales again saw the highest number of new cases in the whole of Wales today.

Across the whole of Wales, there were another 555 new coronavirus cases identified bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 233,227.

No new Covid-related deaths were recorded across Wales today, and the total remains at 5,589. The North Wales death toll since the start of the pandemic stands at 956.

North Wales has again recorded the biggest rise in Covid cases across the country - with a further 270 infections reported today (Wednesday, July 21).

Public Health Wales statistics show that there have now been a total of 42,059 infections across the Betsi Cadwaladr health board region since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

Yesterday, 189 new cases were reported across North Wales, following 586 on Monday - although this covered a 48-hour period.

Across the whole of Wales, there were another 941 new coronavirus cases identified bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 234,168.

One new Covid-related deaths was recorded across Wales today, taking the total to 5,590. However the North Wales death toll remains unchanged at 956.

North Wales recorded more than a third of all new Covid cases reported by Public Health Wales today (Thursday, July 22).

A further 261 positive tests for the virus have been confirmed within the Betsi Cadwaladr health board area, taking the region's total to 42,320 since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.

A total of 712 new coronavirus cases were recorded nationally, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 234,880.

Four new Covid-related deaths were recorded across Wales today, taking the total to 5,594. However the North Wales death toll remains unchanged at 956.

OVER 200 new coronavirus cases have been recorded in North Wales as cases continue to rise.
Data released by Public Health Wales on July 23 show that 755 new Covid cases were recorded in Wales - of which 254 were in the North.
