Any dates for the photos ?
Most of the photos show it as a single track with passing places so would guess pre 1st world war.

Hi - I think all of the images - except the last - are from postcards as I have copies  of them. They most likely date from the early days of the LCBER, going by the outfits and style of tram car. The tramway opened in 1907 . The final image would more likely date from about the late 1930's onwards as that style of tram was not purchased(second hand)  until about 1936.

There was an article in the Pioneer earlier on in the year that the museum in Bournemouth houseing the old No 6 tram has closed and they were looking for a new home for the tram.
Have there been any developments with this, and is it possible the tram coul be found a home in the 3 towns area ?

My late Uncle Reg worked for a while on the Toastrack Trams always spoke about them with affection and when he was in his Eighties i took him to the Tramway Museum down here at Crich in Derbyshire, he was like a kid in a sweet shop.

I remember the tram lines in places around Rhos on Sea but not the Trams themselves.
I have always been Welsh First, British Second and European Third, i am proud of my Celtic heritage and passionately proud my hometown which in my view has seen better days but still has a lot going for it.

As a member of The Llandudno & Colwyn Bay Tramway Society, I know they are always pleased to have information/recollections of the trams and people who worked on them. Their website is :

http://www.swissitalianpaddlesteamers.com/lcbtramsoc/home.html

The society is also trying to investigate the tram at the Christchurch Museum, which closed some months back - but no further news yet.

In the meantime, their replica tram should be out and about on Friday 27th September - subject to weather/trailer transport etc.

(Attached photo taken at the 1940s festival in April - by me)

Thanks for that link.

Incidentally, the last conductress on the L&CBER died a short while ago , at the age of 106.
