A wild guess but is it by Maes y  Fachrell near the Copper mine on the Great Orme?

Wrong end of town, Hugo. This path hasn’t been used in probably getting on for a hundred years and it would certainly not be wise to try going through that gate now…

I can't say that I've seen the gate so it'll have to be a wild guess again.    From your clues there are two areas I can think of and I'll have a guess at near the top of Nant Y Gamar quarry

You’re close enough. It’s part of an old footpath that ran through from Bodafon Lane through what became the Nant Y Gamar quarry (that now has the electricity substation in it) coming out on the lane going up to Nant Y Gamar. I saw the gate from Bodafon Lane a few years back and was interested enough to make my way through the undergrowth to take a closer look.

I suspect that is on one of the buildings at the old Royal Artillery Gunnery School at the end of Llys Helig Drive on the Great Orme?

Well done Hammy you are bang on.      It's the old Gunsite.

It was such a beautiful day on Saturday Tellytubby and I had a short walk in that area and we saw the murals on the first of the three lookout places

This should be an easy peasy one for forum members of a certain age !            What is this and where exactly was it?

I think it was close to the old tram stop in Penrhyn Bay at the bottom of Penrhyn Hill, maybe.
