I remember when they used to come to Colwyn Bay back in the 1980s; it was amazing how terrified some townspeople were of their arrival.

I remember 1969 mods and rockers on prom in Rhyl, and it cost me a lot of money. A young man who worked for me borrowed my car. He was held up in traffic through a mini riot on the prom between the two groups, he was stationary but a scooter whose driven was being threatened with an iron bar by a rocker, and to escape he swerved and crashed into my non moving car in the queue, fairly bad damage to the car. Not sure where the iron bar went.
Just by chance the whole thing was caught on camera and shown on t.v.
When it came to claim insurance wise, as per usual the insurance company delved into the small print and found if the third party hit my car whilst actively avoiding being walloped over the head by the bar, well he was in the clear and I could forget my claim.
No wonder I don't love insurancecompanies
