Identity of prominent North Wales Blogger is revealed
« on: November 20, 2010, 09:48:49 am »
I was interested to see that one of the best known bloggers in North Wales has decided to step out of the shadows...

http://www.dailypost.co.uk/news/north-wales-news/2010/11/20/anglesey-blogger-the-druid-reveals-himself-55578-27683549/

His blog is excellent, probably the best in the North Wales area:
http://druidsrevenge.blogspot.com/

"...not everyone agreed with my analyses and prescriptions, but everyone was happy to engage in mostly good humoured debates about topical issues concerning our Island. And, most importantly, people didn’t want to just criticise, they also wanted to propose solutions. Readers submitted intelligent and well thought out ideas in their hundreds to improve the Island, and it was these which ended up forming the core of the crowd-sourced ‘People’s Manifesto for Ynys Môn’ -- a labour of love for many of us. "

An excellent example of how the people can work together to improve things, free of the ties of traditional politics.

Maybe is time for Oscar to reveal himself, or herself or themselves!     ;D   So many rumours exist as to who he, she or they are that it would be better everyone knew, rather than just a few of us.  It is going to be difficult keeping the secret if everyone starts demanding that Bloggers should out themselves.    _))*

And before anyone starts, I refuse to give detailed information in reply to any PM sent to me, unless accompanied by a crisp £50 note!    :P  L0L

As far as Oscar goes, it's not the person that most people think it is.....

I think it would be a shame if people found out who Oscar is. His blog is a place where people can express their actual thoughts, however controversial they may be, not the watered down version often expressed in public, through fear of retribution. He's also very out spoken, which is why I like him.  I've followed the site for years, I think he'd probably get lynched if his identity were revealed.  I've been told a couple of names, one more often than others but to be honest I think those rumours were started by someone who had a personal gripe against the guy.  Which is bang out of order to be fair.

I see yet another local Blog has shut down, namely Blogllandudno. If my reckoning is correct, that leaves only myself, Ian and the legendary Oscar still operating.

Was that Victor's?
Victor used to post in the early days of his blog that he had attended the Sunday morning service at Holy Trinity but although several of us tried to pin-point who he was, there was no obvious candidate and so the "mystery" remained.

The word 'operating' is stretching it a bit in my case, however. Really must try to find the time to do some more.
