Yesterday was the busiest day ever on the Forum, with 24,317 Page Views. In the first 10 days of August, we have already beaten the figure for page views in the whole of January.

Statistics---not a very funny subject---but this will lighten it a bit. Could the forum statistics throw a light on the weather existing at the moment of searching? No, you will say. But, yes. Just look at my posts, when you see a hugh amount in the morning----then its pouring down with rain up the Orme.

Some really weird ones in there...

An altercation on Llandudno Pier eh?   I might be able to shed some light on that... there are no shortage of them.

The search for the Glory Hole persists I see,  and also a fruitless search for a red-light district in Llandudno.
There isn't one, I know.. I've looked.

That would be very useful to know, however, I don't believe it keeps such a record. What I can see from the Stats is that 187 out of a total current membership of 454 members have posted at least once in the last year.

Most Forums consist of a core number of Members who post regularly, together with a greater number who post occasionally. We seem to add about 30 genuine new members a month, of which the majority lately have been ladies for some reason.

There's certainly been a few 'new faces' appearing lately, and I hope that continues. Everyone is welcome to post and all opinions are welcome.

The Forum is one year old today. In its first year, it has had a total of 48,557 unique visitors and 2,866,884 page views.

If we compare the first month (Sept 2010) with the 12th month (Aug 2011), we can see how it has grown:

Sept 2010:
Unique Visitors - 1,796
Page Views - 128,026

Aug 2011:
Unique Visitors - 6,425
Page Views - 543,424

Very true, Yorkie.  $good$

However, in a nutshell there have been 543,424 views but only 187 members have made an effort to post.

I wonder what can be done to encourage the remaining 267 members to post after having taken the initial trouble to sign up?

That's always been the great conundrum of any Forum. With this one, I know that many people like to sign up and be a member just so they can view the photos in the Gallery. Others, like local business owners, like to read the posts but wouldn't wish to post themselves.
