You're probably right Jack but you would have thought that Cadw had checked this first of all as it is misleading.

The reference to Kendrick's Cave might be that the main exhibit at Llandudno Museum (the decorated jaw bone) was found there. Although I agree it is a very muddled article.

Trojan visited Kendricks Cave when he was home last.

I didn't know it was open to the general public.

I always thought it was in someone's private garden?

It is -- Anyone ever heard of any public being allowed in?

I think Trojan's visit may have been of an unofficial nature...

WATCH: Amazing footage from adrenaline-fuelled drive in a Wales Rally GB car
Daily Post Reporter Sam Yarwood experiences what it's like to ride in a Wales Rally GB car during launch day for next month's event

The track took us around the lake at Llyn Brenig and had I been going a tad slower I probably would’ve been able to appreciate the view more. As Conwy council leader Dilwyn Roberts said earlier in the day, Conwy provided the most picturesque and stunning surroundings for the rally which will now be showcased to racing fans across the globe.

Although not apparent from the Daily Post report I should like to point out that the whole day was organised by members of the North Wales Car Club, who are also responsible for next week's Cambrian Rally - which will bring 140 crews and their supporters to Llandudno for the weekend.

Unfortunately, the reporter seems to have missed that.

Conwy begins countdown for Wales Rally GB

THE countdown has started for this year’s Wales Rally GB - with Conwy revving up to be the event’s official host county.
Stars of the sport including the likes of Elfyn Evans, Kris Meeke and Hayden Paddon gathered at Llyn Brenig in Denbighshire yesterday (Thursday) for the official “curtain-raiser” event.
The North Wales-based rally, which serves as the last round of the World Rally Championship, takes place from November 13 to 16, with the ceremonial start at Colwyn Bay and finish at Llandudno, which last year attracted 15,000 people.

Conwy - 1994 - 0??

Surely only because Conwy wasn't a county then.

Tourism in North Wales is booming reveals new summer survey

Orme golf, Zip World, Bounce Below and Rib Ride have all contributed to a successful summer for businesses in North Wales.

Tourist businesses in North Wales benefited from a successful summer with increases in trade across the sector, a survey revealed yesterday.
Latest Welsh Government figures showed 82% of holiday businesses experienced increased or similar levels of guests in August compared with the same month last year.

Some 45% of all businesses reported more guests/visitors and some 37% a similar level of business. Increases were reported in 59% of hotels, guest houses and B&Bs, 51% of caravan operators and 43% of attractions, while self-catering recorded rises among 27% of operators.
Carol-lynn and Ian Robins, owners of Lauriston Court and the newly opened Lawton Court hotels in Llandudno, said: “We’ve had a fantastic season".

"Wales is managing to outperform the rest of GB in attracting staying visitors and day visitors.    $walesflag$

Yet, other surveys show they are spending 14% less when they get here.

It doesn't take a genius to work out that very good weather in 2014 has brought additional numbers of visitors.
Parents are compelled to bring their broods to the seaside when the weather is good for prolonged spells.
However, they have not  had more money magically arrive in their wallets to spend.

Today the Cambrian Rally is organised by the highly experienced members of the North Wales Car Club (NWCC) and has done since it was formed in 1955. The event offers a real challenge for competitors of all levels, driving through some of the best forest stages, in some of the finest scenery in the UK.
Now in its 59th year (its been running since 1955!) the Cambrian is one of the qualifying rounds of the REIS BTRDA Series. The Cambrian is recognised as one of the best rallies in the UK. This was confirmed in 2008 and 2009 when it was crowned ‘Best Event’ by both the BTRDA and ANWCC.

Conwy ready to host Cambrian Rally

WELSH rally legend Gwyndaf Evans returns to the sport after four years when the Cambrian Rally moves into gear on Llandudno promenade on Saturday.

The 1996 British Rally Champion and father of World Rally Championship driver Elfyn Evans will be among 140 competing over eight stages, five of which are new, making up 45 competitive miles in what will be the competition’s 59th year.

The first racer will leave Llandudno cenotaph at 8am on Saturday with the first car due to return for the ceremonial finish at the same location at 3pm.

This year’s event will not incorporate the Great Orme due to a lack of parking and spectator facilities.
